What is car accident care?

An Exam, a Plan and Records You Can Follow

Car accident care at Howill starts with what happened to you: the impact, your seat, your symptoms. Dr. Hung Manh Cao, D.C. examines your spine and joints, explains the findings in plain English and lays out options and costs before any care begins.

Every visit is documented, and records are released to you or anyone you name only with your signed authorization.

Who Comes to Us After a Crash?

Drivers and passengers with soreness, stiffness or headaches in the hours or days after a collision, whether the crash was at highway speed or in a parking lot.

You don’t need a referral or an attorney to book.

  • Neck pain or stiffness after a rear-end crash
  • Back pain that built up over a day or two
  • Headaches that started after the collision (medical evaluation first when needed)
  • Passengers who were braced or turned at impact
  • People who were seen at the ER and want a follow-up exam

Why Choose Howill After a Crash?

We built our accident process around the questions people actually ask: what’s wrong, what will it cost, and how will it be documented.

  • Exam before any treatment recommendation
  • Posted self-pay prices; PIP, MedPay and insurance explained in writing
  • Same-day exams when the schedule allows
  • Records released only with your authorization
  • Referral to imaging or a medical provider when that fits better

What We Evaluate After a Collision

Chiropractic care is one option; your exam decides whether it fits.

Car Accident Care by Location

Our Richardson clinic serves these areas (Howill’s second clinic is in Arlington). Each page below is written for that area: directions, local questions and what to expect.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should I see a chiropractor or a medical provider first after a car accident?

If you have severe or alarming symptoms, call 911 or go to the ER. If your symptoms are soreness or stiffness, a chiropractic exam may be appropriate. If your exam suggests you need other care, we will tell you and refer you.

I don’t have a lawyer. Do I need one to be seen?

No. You can book without an attorney. We cannot give legal advice.

How does billing work?

Depending on your situation: PIP or MedPay on your auto policy, health insurance, or self-pay at posted prices. We explain before care begins.

How long will I need care?

It depends on your exam and how you respond. We explain recommendations, re-check progress, and you decide. We cannot promise a specific result.
