What we ask about your seat and headrest
- Where you were sitting and which way you were facing
- Whether the headrest was close to the back of your head
- Whether you were turned (for example, looking at a child in the back seat)
- Whether you braced against the dashboard or door
Signs that mean ER, not chiropractor
Go to the emergency room or call 911 for loss of consciousness, a severe or worsening headache, repeated vomiting, confusion, slurred speech, vision changes, weakness or numbness in the arms or legs, or loss of bladder or bowel control.

Getting here from Garland
Most Garland patients come west on Arapaho Rd or Belt Line Rd, or take the President George Bush Turnpike to Campbell Rd. Around 8 miles by map estimate. Typical drive time: about 15–20 minutes in light traffic. If turning your head is hard, let someone else drive.
Questions we hear from Garland patients
My child was in the car. Can you see them?
Start with your child’s pediatrician, especially after any head bump. We see patients aged 16 and up with a parent or guardian present.
Is whiplash only from rear-end crashes?
No. Side impacts and front impacts can strain the neck too.
How soon should I book?
That is your decision. Symptoms can appear hours or days later. If you have concerns, an exam can help you understand your options.
Do you have an office in Garland?
No. Patients from this area are seen at our Richardson clinic. Our second clinic is in Arlington.
